A few more day trips from Barcelona coming your way on the TRLT blog. There are so many incredible places to explore in this area of northern Spain, and we had a blast showing our family around in March to a few spots we have been meaning to go!
About an hour north of Barcelona are the two medieval tows of Pals and Peratallada along Spains gorgeous Costa Brava. These tiny towns are knows for there homes, hotels, restaurants, and shops built entirely of stone, transporting you back to a time when life was simpler and time seemed to move more slowly. Pals especially is popular during the summer months as it is a 15 minute drive from the Pals beach on the gorgeous Mediterranean. Both towns are also well known for their colorfully glazed pottery which you can find for sale in a number of shops with friendly and helpful shop keepers.
If you find yourself in northern Spain and are looking for a worth while day trip, you should absolutely rent a car or catch one of the local tour buses and wander the cobblestone streets of these two adorable towns!
