Chris and I are beyond excited to announce that we'll be moving the blog from blogger to our very own website within the next two weeks! The blog has been gaining popularity, and to keep up with the demand and to plan for growth, we decided to say goodbye to our Blogger account and will be moving to our very own site at LifeAbundant.co .
I had no idea how much I would enjoy blogging when we started The Road Less Traveled just before we moved to Spain in September 2014. It's been a blast to share about where our journey down The Road Less Traveled has taken us, we can't wait to see where it is headed!
As the blog has grown so has our vision for what we want it to focus on. Although we've felt that The Road Less Traveled has been a clear theme for our vision for the blog, we've been thinking a lot about what's even behind our desire to take The Road Less Traveled. What we've found at the root of our motivation for the blog actually inspired a new name, Life Abundant.
There is so much more to life than what many of us experience in the day to day. It's easy to get caught up in the lie that abundant life comes from how successful you are at your job, how much money you make, what kind of house you have, car you drive, clothes you wear, and friends you surround yourself with. All things that in time will loose value and be destroyed. Where we've found hope is in Jesus's promise in John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."
What we want to challenge our readers to do is to broaden their worldview and see life from a different perspective. We want to challenge you to see through the eyes and culture of another, with an attitude of learning and openness for things that might be different than you're used to, and with a heart to love and serve all those you interact with, even when it means sacrifice and generosity on your behalf for the benefit of others.
We are so excited to start this new chapter of the blog as Life Abundant; in the same spirit as The Road Less Traveled but with more posts about how we choose to live an abundant life, in hopes to inspire our readers to pursue the same.
