Breaking Ground, Our First Week In Cambodia

Chris and I are breaking ground on a new season of life in Battambang, Cambodia.  We've been here for a little over a week now as the start of a two month period of work on 100 Fold's largest current international project, a University of the Nations campus for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Cambodia.  Chris has been working on this project exclusively since June, and is thrilled to actually be on the ground here to see the progress that's been made, and help push the remainder of phase one of this campus through to it's hopeful completion by sometime in 2017.

While Chris is busy with architecture, I've been working on a number of projects remotely for 100 Fold and volunteering in the Jeevits House (a home for at risk children from family's affected by HIV/Aids), and teaching english to Cambodian youth.

We are thrilled to be a part of this incredible project here, and are slowly integrating into the culture and lifestyle thats so different than our own.  One of the things we enjoy most about travel is meeting new people, experiencing new things, and learning more about the incredible world that we live in. It's these experiences that broaden our worldview, and we believe make us better people as we're able to genuinely relate to, understand, and care about others who are different than we are.

Take some time today to step outside of your comfort zone to love on someone you normally wouldn't interact with!
