Chris and I spent three days visiting our "Spanish Family" in central Spain. The warmth of their hospitality and desire to introduce us to their pocket of Spain made for a wonderful trip.
During our stay we decided to do some exploring in nearby Madrid (Spain's capital), taking full advantage of this beautiful autumn weather. Madrid impressed us with it's hustle and bustle, raw elements, and pockets of natural beauty. Graffiti lines the streets alongside of majestic architecture. Tapas (an array of small traditional dishes, intended to foster conversation as meals are not focused on eating one main dish) are plentiful, and if you have a chance, grab a chocolate covered palmera from a corner bakery.
With no agenda, we enjoyed a small taste of Madrid.
